The Cottage in Kids Corner is ideal for families, You will find a playground, ball field and picnic area just outside the door, and public beach access to majestic Lake Michigan immediately across the street. South Haven is a quaint small town, famous for our sugar-sand beaches and breathtaking sunsets.

Downtown South Haven is less than 1 mile from your front door, with restaurants, shopping, and cultural attractions sure to delight you and your family.

Stay in comfort with activities and experiences right outside your door. Walk one block to the pristine Lake Michigan beach from this home located within Kid's Corner Park. The park features plenty of green space, and play structures to keep the kids entertained, while the adults sip beverages and watch the sun set over the lake.

With a view of the lake from almost every room, this 1885 home is fully renovated with modern amenities. Come in, take a look around, and see what it really means to be on vacation.

Layout and Amenities

The first floor has an enclosed front porch that provides a great place to relax and enjoy the summer. The living room has a 42in flat screen TV, a double mantle antique fireplace, a pull-out sofa for additional sleeping for two, and a relaxing view of the park and Lake Michigan.

The dining room has comfortable seating for family meals, and an efficient galley kitchen. There is also a convenient laundry room for your use.

The main level is where you will find the first two bedrooms, including the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a queen bed and en suite bathroom with double sinks and walk-in shower. The other main-floor bedroom has two twin beds.

The first floor full bathroom features double pedestal sinks, separate shower and large claw foot tub.

Upstairs, you will find a cozy family room (we call it the party room) with a vaulted ceiling. It doubles as sleeping space for two (day beds), and features a 65in flat screen TV, antique oak and brass bar, and extra refrigerator for keeping drinks cold.

There is a balcony with a patio table and chairs that oversees the park and Lake Michigan, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee in the fresh air.

Two more bedrooms on the second floor sleep four, one with twin beds, the other with a queen bed. A center hall bathroom has a single sink and claw foot shower/tub.

South Haven, Michigan

Located on the pristine shores of Lake Michigan, South Haven is a small community with a lot of heart. Come during the shoulder seasons (early spring and late fall) for a quiet, restful respite, or join us for the bustling summer, to experience the energy of local festivals and events, a vibrant farm market, on-water adventures including sailing, kayaking, and swimming. Explore nature on our hiking and biking trails, window-shop and browse the quaint downtown before grabbing an ice cream cone and walking down to the iconic lighthouse to watch the sun set over Lake Michigan.

On a rainy day, pop into the movie theater, or immerse yourself in history at the Michigan Maritime Museum. South Haven has a video arcade, bowling and put-put golf, a kid-safe splash pad, and plenty of parks and natural areas to explore. And of course, entire lifetimes could be spent at the beach without growing weary of the warm sand and soothing waves.

Getting away to South Haven means leaving troubles behind and living in the moment. Make the memories that you will treasure for a lifetime.
